Josh and I watched the dawn break, literaly freezing our arses off after slipping "slayer" into the frigid river in the dark.

We positioned our floaters by flashlight, and got "MR Mojo" spinning, ("MRS Mojo" was misbehaving- again!!)

As shooting light approached the birds started buzzing our spread like little spitfires - then they started dropping - and the never stopped until we both maxed out......

Another thorough spanking was delivered.........

Scaups (both species)
Golden eyes
Butterballs
Widgeon
Mallard

Nice mixed bag good shooting, looks like a great day out. I miss my wingshooting used to be out every opportunity I could, I have not being out or shot a duck in years. I have a flight path over my house, which reminds me everyday of what im missing.

Nice shoot. I just noticed this thread. Sorry for this I don't mean to "shoot down" down your thread. No pun intended. I actually only see one that I think might be a BB that I can feel somewhat confident in identifying in that pic and its the bottom right one. And im maybe 50% on that one. I mean grey feet isn't a lot to go on, but the bill looks a bit flatter and I can kind of see what I think is a yellow eye. I have killed 100's and im not totally convinced. Are you saying there are both kinds of Golden eyes in there or just one? I just noticed the 3 shells so I am assuming you are using this for the slam. And this is a terrible pic for identifying the very small differences in scaups. All I can tell for sure you have in here is butterballs of which all are hens that I can tell, 3 common Golden eye hens, a drake mallard, a widgeon and maybe one bluebill.

Mostly Yuck Duck. Might as well eat bull heads. IMO.
