Going next weekend.. 24th
do you think they will still be in the rut
where would be the best place to go?

find a big, fresh track and get on that thing.
you know that he's guaranteed to be at the end of them.

The only thing dryer than Spences Bridge- Cahce Creek area is a popcorn fart. Its desert country. Go hunt Squamish area for a few days to see what wet is. Mulies are rutting all over now. Pick a spot and go.

whiteys have been occupying most my time this year.
the muleys will still be going though.

I'd try Scottie Creek turn right going north out of Cache Creek about 15k out of Cache Creek
Or behind Ashcroft on the Barnes Lake road

A friend of mine used to hunt Cache Creek a lot and he said the deer all tasted like sagebrush.

I would probably go carpenter lake / marshal lake , or maybe churn cr. . if I was going out this weekend
