Sometimes it makes me wonder if the Crows and Ravens want to help you in getting your game, because they know that they are getting the leftover scaps ?

The Viking God, Odin, who was considered to be a wise man, had two Ravens, Huginn and Muninn, that followed him and flew around the world and gathered information for Odin. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Huginn_and_Muninn

These mostly black birds, are also, among others, revered and respected in local British Columbian Native mythology:

The raven is a key part of many North West Coast legends and stories. In many stories the raven teaches us about life and right from wrong. The raven is often misbehaving but never boring. He symbolizes change in life, creativity, and humor. A key figure in Northwest Coast legends, the raven is involved in many creation stories and is also recognized as the bringer of light as it is said that the raven released the sun and moon. The Raven is known as a trickster or the catalyst for change, causing many changes to transpire as Raven gets bored quickly and is continually looking for things to amuse himself. Raven is quick to take action, extremely curious and at times greedy. Raven likes to be involved and often takes part in stories that have raven working to gain. Raven is motivated by self indulgence, though there is often a price that raven will pay, in the course of which causing beneficial things to happen at his cost. He could be taken as a symbol of the Coastal People’s view that the world has many faces, is a place full of surprises, neither good nor bad, often unpredictable. Raven has a long straight beak that is often seen with a circle in its mouth representing the story of having brought light to the earth.

Crows are one of the few animals not only to use tools but form them as well.

I popped a crow with my air rifle and for 2 weeks every time I would stick my head out the window the entire neighbourhood was notified.

Among the Inuit of the North, there is an expression very much like the one that says "when pigs fly", and instead the Inuit would say "When Ravens turns white". Well, Ravens do sometimes turn white :)

They can also problem solve three steps ahead.

Odins birds were named Huginn and Muninn loosely translated forethought and memory. I wish the ravens would tell me where they game, maybe they do and I just can't understand them.

One of the best hunting seasons is spring Raven. Very challenging, tricky, and action packed.

I find Crows way harder to hunt and smarter than Ravens
