Thanks Jelvis, Having just fished Little Badger and Big Badger, I was wanting to go into West Badger if I could find a way in there off hwy 5, where does the Oliver Creek rd start from. Thanks.

Johnny,

Going up the Hwy 5 route is the better way to access West Badger or "Minnie" as some of the locals know it. You want to go up Orchard Lake Road. I can't recall the KM that you turn off, but if you hit the big 4-way intersection of Orchard Lake Rd and the road coming from Knouff, you've gone too far. Turn around there and it'll be your first right going back down. Once off Orchard Lk Rd, on your way in you'll hit a clearing where the road sweeps/curves right. There you will see a spur to the left. That will take you to the lake The east side, but the better way in was the branch before that takes you to the west side of the lake.

The lake used to have very nice fish, but seems overstocked now and the nice 5lb fish that used to live there don't seem to be around anymore. In fact, if you get 2lb fish there now, consider yourself doing OK. Beauty little lake though.

You might have limited time if you were planning on fishing it this fall! Good luck!

Lookin, Thanks will try again in the spring, yes some good fish in those lakes, was lucky enough in Sept. to pull out a 6 1/2 lb rainbow, but most were in the 2 lb range. those were in Big Badger.

Wow, 6.5 is an awesome fish for Badger! Anyway, we better let this thread die before we get in crap for talking fishing on the hunting site!
