my first deer

K so i just wrote a my whole story and then tried attaching a picture and it deleted the whole thing so here i go again.... i just thought that everyone should know that there is deer in revelstoke!! Haha so anyways i grabbed my 2506 savage and me qnd my huntin buddy set off to my secret location on a spur of the moment effort to see what we could see. It was snowing hard and it was about 315 when we started hiking up our trail system. We tried rattlin everyso often as we walked up the hill but we werent seeing anything or any tracks. I scouted this area once in october and found lots of sign so i knew we just had to be percistent. We kept walking up the trail for a ways and at one point i jusg happened to glance over to my left and spotted ears in the bush about 30 yards uphill from us. I didnt sayanything to my buddy i just rose my rifle to my shoulder, seen that it was a whitetail buck just laying there watching us. He had no time to flinch it was saftey off then boom. Dropped him right were he lay. The 115 gr tsx did a good job and always on target. It was 4pm when i shot him and had him gutted and down at the truck by 5. Bout a kilometre and a half drag out but the snow helps alot. Anyways hope u are all having as good a hunting season as we are! Cheers to all :)

Rough scored the antlers with the boone and crocket app and ot came to 117 " gross length. It didnt score all that bad:p
