Not much of a story but I headed out after work with the bow as this is all I hunt with right now. Five minutes off of pavement and spotted this 2 point lying in a draw. I watched him for half an hour debating if I should take him or not as I usually do not take little bucks but this being my first full season since 2010 I figured I should not pass him up. I was not sure if I would be able to get with in range of a decent 4 point in November so I ranged him and he was at 57 yards well with in range for the Element. So I got out of the truck, he stood up broadside to me (text book reaction from him), knocked the arrow, drew and released with the excitement of taking a buck with my bow I dropped my front arm to watch the arrow kick to the left. Uh Oh I am going to miss. As I watched the arrow fly (which seemed to be in slow motion) it looked like it was going to go right under his chin but to my surprise it hit him low in the neck dead center of the spine. The arrow knocked him over where he stood. A couple of kicks and that was it. He should be a good eater.
