Faaaaaaaack! I've got a draw for that s.o.b. but couldnt find him when i was there. I can imagine the un nerving feeling of having only a 243 in hand. I was walking around in that region with my 300 wsm and thee were times that I felt under gunned.

That was my impression too, that it is a direct register gait as my tracking guide says. Haha, and for a brief moment I thought it was a much bigger caliber round too!

black bear and it's back foot overstepping in, making it look.... impressive.

ya it does actually look like a black bear and the front paw stepping on the back paw, in that case, your 243 would take that down no problem with a good shot. Ive done it before on bears that size

that was weird, I have re-inserted pictures. Yes it was a black bear stepping inside its own tracks, made out to be a good picture I thought, can't fool anybody on this site :mrgreen:.
