Elk Bugling Video - Close but only 5 points

Hey everyone,
I thought id post this video I took with a friend of mine when we were looking for elk in early October near Cranbrook. After bugling and cow calling for over an hour, he finally showed himself and to our disappointment he was only a 5x5. After counting his tines 50 times each, we headed back to camp. This was my first elk calling experience and I learned a lot from it, cant wait to get back at it next year. Cheers

nope just me and the one other elk. It was pretty cool when that cow came running up behind us, i thought we were busted for sure especially when she barked at us and took off. I just kept cow calling and the bull kept coming in.

Great video. The anticipation and excitement of bringing him in only to be let down he is a five can be a major let down.
The fact you fooled an animal of that size into coming so close is a successful hunt in my books, good job and thanks for posting.
