Hunting the Jewel Lake area, Region 8

Hello Everyone!
Just wondering if anyone might be willing to talk a little bit about whitetail hunting around the Jewel Lake area. I have an opportunity to head out near there next week for four days of hunting. I would really like to try and get a whitetail buck this year, but this will be my last opportunity to head out this year and I want to make sure I am not wasting it. Any advice/suggestions are welcome. PM's too. Thanks everyone.

Anyone? Is there any whitetail rutting activity starting up yet in region 8 at least?

Saw 6 bucks in a field yesterday, no swollen necks no rutting

Here's another question. If you've been to that area can I get to good area without a quad. I have no problem hiking, but I want to be able to get to those areas to walk into. It's easier if I can just use my 4x4 (Toyota FJ Cruiser).

Try to head up to,old camp road,or it's called "camp road" don't have map book in front off me, but it's been a good road for us this year
