Does anyone have or heard of the quality of terniers knives? They are a real work of art but does the steel hold any edge?

No......

just kidding. Any good custom knife maker uses good steel.

Buy a gerber or a buck if you want good quality though.

IMO they are good. Seems to stay sharp long enough , but then is easy enough to tune up with a hone.

I have one of Floyd's custom knives , small caping blade with a Stones sheep horn handle.
Have used it on a dozen or so critters and it seems to work , probably my best knife.
He donates one for the WSSoBC fundraiser , usually sells for over $500

Thanks guys, I seen him set up at lumby days a few times and every time I've been very tempted to buy one. Asked the girlfriend to get me one for Christmas. So I'll repost as soon as I find out how they are.
