First kick at ducks

[Foxton Gundogs]

Well we managed to get out for a kick at the few ducks that have been hanging around one of our ponds on Fri. As expected it was slow but I got Babe my young Golden out for her first real shoot. Babe did great handling 5 0f 6 retrieves including 1 blind< Keela looked on for the most part and ending the day with a tracking clinic on a crippled mallard in some really thick cover and coming out the winner in the game of hide and seek. The batteries died before the pic of the final carnage but the final count was 3 Lards, 2 wigeon and a pinny. Here are some pix we managed before the camera quit.
