4-05 LE Moose success w/ video

Hey everyone,
Just thought id post a video of my mom getting her first animal which was a really nice 6x6 point Shiras moose. We scouted out some area until we found a small spur with tonnes of fresh moose sign (and wolf) and decided to wait for something to come by. We started waiting at around 1:30 pm, she shot the moose at 3 and we were driving away by 5:30. Couldnt have been any better location to get one! I hope you all are having a great hunting season,

Yeah he was pretty beat up, fighting scars on both sides of his neck and his left eye was totally bashed in and most likely blind.

Right on! I hope she gets it too! The camera is a Panasonic HDC-TM900. Its been a really good camera. No complaints except when taking video in a really quite area you can hear the fan a little bit. Nothing video editing software cant remove though. Cheers

She was shooting 140gr Federal Fusions out of her 7mm-08. I was expecting it to run for a while, I was surprised it dropped like it did. She hit it in a good spot, right at the base of the neck, a couple inches lower and it would have hit the spine.

Tip : they always drag easer forward, front hooves up and in between antlers noose around neck half hitch around nose; lifts face up and away they go.
