I was out this morning hoping to stumble onto the spike/fork. It was not to be but I did come across a number of mule deer. Only one buck, a small two point, but not on my list. It was a beautiful morning. -2, and clear.

I did also come across a trail cam. I gave it a brief wave and carried on. Not well secured, other than a strap, but the case was locked, but not in an obvious location either.
Question for you wolf guys. Do they bark like a dog? I heard very loud continual barking for five minutes or so with a bit of a howl mixed in, but not prominate. Seemed to be relatively close, but a long way off the road. I changed course to see but never caught up to them
