I've seen these birds half a dozen times except in season so one our last day on our way out they show up and I get a lucky shot putting only two pellets in the neck dropping himhttp://i42.tinypic.com/1toc9z.jpg

nice work. i'd heard wild turkey wasn't terribly tasty so it has never been on my wish list.

your plate seems to indicate otherwise.

I like how the drumstick comes with it's own built-in toothpick.

Fantastic!

A great bird turned into a deliciuos meal after an excellent (and very fortuitous) hunt. This is as good as it gets, bellissimo.

I would think it tasted great but I would have removed the foot first. All I can think of is poop foot on my plate!!

that looks like a plate designed for "IRON CHEF" NICELY DONE. I am sure that the foot was skinned first before it went in the oven.
Horrendus would be a word used by some one who does not know what good food looks like! IMHO.
Cheers jaeger

LOL, it's not like that bird was raised in a cage living in it's own crap like a supermarket chicken, lots of open ground for him to walk on hahaha
