Went hunting this weekend up to rock creek for the White tail doe opening. Unlucky for us we went up during a full moon! we left Thursday morning and got up there at 3. We went riding around and checking out to see where the deer movement was. Like usual we spot 12 mule doe but no sign of bucks or white tail! The next day same thing nothing! The deer must of bin eating at night and sleeping during the day because of the full moon! Friday after noon a farmer cam by are camp and asked if we had seen two of his cows that went missing. He told us that he was gathering up because there is 9 pairs of wolves in the area. A few farmers saw 3 wolves feasting on a calf moose. So did not see anything but one whitetail doe on the way back to camp. But it was already to dark to hunt anymore! We had a great weekend but not so great of a hunt!

When the snow hits in that area, Then it will be white tail city. Last year we had a hard time finding them until the snow hit.

My dad and I have hunted successfully in that area for the past few years. Just keep at it. Find yourself an area with some well beaten game trails and set up a blind and wait for sun down. They will come out just when your about to call it a night. Good luck
