legal issues??

I have been hunting for a number of years now but am new to this forum
A friend of mine has asked if he could have the hide of the next deer I get to use the skin to make some drums I have no moral issues with this as it's something I would normally dump in the woods is there any legal problems with this or what sort of paperwork is required for me to do this I have searched the regs and have found nothing that applies to this type of scenario
