Ok ok... my first goat hunt....

put in for a 4-26 goat draw, got it, bought the tag, was out moose hunting with a leh tag last few days with my brother and buddy, never seen nothing'. saw a goat this morning, took the long way up too it, maybe two hours, shot it, cleaned it up, (not quite sure how to measure it but seems to be 9-9.5 inches) straight down the avy path in a half hour back the truck loaded up on my way....whats this big deal about goat hunting anyways, seems pretty easy:)..... I can email someone pics if they want to post them but I need yer email address....

sorry dude....I know its not easy but today it was...theres so many people that deserve it more than me....I got up at 5 am spotted him at daybreak and hit him. 3 vehicles showed up while we were stalking him that have been watching him for a while or was told about him....I feel bad for those people... but I got early I seen him I shot him.....sorry. if its any consolation I didn't get my moose yet....

Goat hunting can be really tough for a lot of reasons, you must know this and are just trying to come off sounding cool, sounds like you got pretty lucky. Congrats on an easy one!

not trying sound cool, trying to sound lucky...Moose hunting can be tough for a lot of reasons too that's why I didn't get one this week. I also find deer and elk challenging as well..... some guys get to shoot there moose on the road, yesterday my name was picked and I got a relatively easy goat....

Great job, it is nice to hear about an easy one. My partner and I spent 2 weeks chasing goats, geting snowed and fogged out, 6hr hikes after far off animals, sighted 36 goats and did not put the rifle up once..... So good on you lets see some more pics.

I thought you were joking....how did you know?/ what do you know?....Just had it inspected and he knew the goat and knew it had a bum foot. I never seen it walk so I didn't know....thought I did it and have been getting a hard time for it... glad it wasn't me....

He had been laying there for awhile, some tried for him the weekend before but it was to late Im guessing some one tried before that from the road to lazy to climb up.
