After getting skunked for mulie bucks a couple weekends, I'm thinking I would use the bear tag I never cut in spring. Hunting Princeton up to Merritt area. What are the odds of seeing black bear? When do they usually hibernate around there?

I was up further... 100 mile house.... saw a total of 6 black bears.... 3 were shooters, not huge but good bears... the other was a monster sow with 2 cubs.

I dunno where your located but try to hunt lower where the grass is still green and thick. Also stick to creeks or rivers seeing how the salmon are spawing soon. They are out still with full force. Saw 2 this morning on my way to the blind. There hide is nice and thick

I am also wondering when bears den up. They are open in Region 3 until November 30. Will they still be out come Remembrance Day?

Just got a bear yesterday up in the Kane valley area. I've seen bears in Dec with snow on the ground. The longer there is food available the longer they're going to be out. With this weather, they'll be out a while yet. Look for the food you'll find them.
