Did you call RAPP? It's a shame the amount of poaching threads there have been on here this year.

No phone service and it had been there for a while, based on temps and smell, so no.

I'm thinking the guy(s) who shot it just did it for kicks, as it were laying smack dab in the middle of a main road. Did a bit of a scene assessment and found no sign of a vehicle impact, which is what led me to think it was shot. Had some blood coming out of the ears and nose, which made me think head shot; that and the fact that it appears to have dropped right on the spot, as the antlers were dug in pretty good and all the blood was localized.

Unbelievable.
Being on a main road, I'm surprised the COs hadn't been called out if it seems like its been there awhile...Shame regardless, very nice Bull.

Was thinking the same and is the main reason I didn't drive out to phone.

Woulda loved to remove the head for a Euro mount, but didn't want any part of a poached animal. Actually kinda surprised the head/horns were still intact.....
