Yes you do, may as well buy 2 wt tags cause you know you'll see a nice buck and a doe you can shoot if ya don't buy the tag that's the way it always goes..

very smart tip from hairy. last thing you want to do is get a doe and then see a nearby booner buck get uo and saunter off.

I feel it always best to buy all available tags/licenses that a persons situation will allow for. That way you can go ahead and take that Doe along with your Buck (as stated above in E.V.B.H.'s post, one tag per animal). Not only this, but license purchases are, in my opinion, surely among the best of ways to support conservation efforts. There is nothing wrong in the least with having any tags unfilled at the end of a season, knowing full well one has contributed. Additionally, an animal does not need to be harvest for a Hunt to be successful.

In short: There is no harm in having more than needed as opposed to less! That sure is a great place to hunt, Region 8. May you have a great time Sir.

Can't shoot a mule deer in region 8, but you can in another region, like 3 or 4.

Just wanted to confirm cause I have always wondered how that works. In region 8...

Regional limit is 2. Provincial limit is 3?

Thanks

Look at p. 17 of the regs (http://www.env.gov.bc.ca/fw/wildlife/hunting/regulations/1214/docs/hunting_trapping_front.pdf).There is a handy chart here that explains it quite nicely.
