Had a great morning sharing a blind with Field Marshal, kyleklasen, and James...
Kyle set the bar quite high with a triple on ducks just after first light and then James connected with his first snow goose shortly after, things were a little slow for a little bit but when the birds came there were some good numbers, we also had a fair number of pairs drop in. Our shooting was not spectacular, but we manager 30 large Canada's, 2 Cacklers, 1 Snow and 6 mallards, the day ended with a respectable 8 bird flock of which only 1 bird exited, oddly enough it was the lead bird and each of us expected the others were going to target it,it's lucky day I guess.
The field was a little soft and we managed to get Kyle's truck "lightly stuck" but with a little ingenuity an we managed to get it out and on our way.
All in all a fantastic opening, many of the geese were impressively large and it made for lots of work once we returned home.

For some reason I can not get the picture to re-size corretly so I have here is the link...hopefully the size and quality is better...

Twice I have heard this ingenuity and kyle in the same sentence today. Not normal. Please elaborate!

Nice shoot boys!

Did you take that picture looking backwards through a telescope?

That was Tonys photography work...so as much as I would like to take credit for it I can't!!

Thought it was just me seeing it blurry after pushing a truck out and cleaning a mess of geese.

Is there any way to enlarge the photo? So tiny..

I tried to upload it several ways, and have changed the imbedded pic to a link in hopes that it would help, but no matter what is done its still exceeding the limit...Not sure what is up with it as there is generally not an issue.

Way to go guys! Was there only one snow goose seen? Just curious if it was a loner or part of a flock?

It was a good morning and yes for the second year in a row k.k. has tripled in the opening volley...last year honkers this year mallards. The snow goose was a single and was also our first goose of the day, so with my ducks and james' snow next shot went to chessie he dumped a low single honker that proceded to fling blood all over one of field marsahlls decoys..it got real hectic for a while the slowed a bit and it was good to have a new(to me) guy in the blind even if he talked funny....some great shots were made along with some epic misses. I damn well better triple again next year or i'm gonna hear about it.
