Yes,butter helps. Like I tend to do usually, slice a bit of deer loin the next day, throw it in the pan done medium and a bit of butter on top..

Cut into nuggets or strips and soak in franks red hot. Crack some pepper into flour. Toss the nuggets in the flour then fry in oil or butter....

Salt, pepper, garlic powder, in the pan with lots of butter. I you wish after it's nicely browned make a gravy with it. And onions if you have them.
