    Moose hunting in 6-08

Now that the deadline is up and draws are in, all I have to do now is wait for the Ministry of Fur and Feathers to confirm my first choice moose hunt draw choice of 6-08.

Does anyone have any recent hunting info on the place?

I know one year we did well around Chapman Lake and the next time we had a draw that place had been nuked. So we went to Fulton Lake and kind of zoned in on a good area and got a moose, then talking to a bow hunter buddy who was there the next year, heard that it had been logged flat too.

So I don't know what to do this go-round.

dont know 6-08 but 6-09 early hunt was a hard go..hunted the whole bow season and the full early draw...no success. bears and chickens every 100yards..

I'd suggest going in a few days before your respective opener. As stated they've been logging heavy in 6-8 for the last 5 years or so (google earth won't be up to date). If you plan to hunt off an ATV expect to have lots of company.

    Thank you.

Don't hunt off an ATV. Don't have one.

In our group we have one ATV belonging to a mobility impaired member. The rest of us use trucks and boots.

Many threads regarding 6-8 and 6-9. Tough hunting. Best of luck. Hope you have radios as there are typically 200+ loads of logs coming out of that area. Animal numbers are way down, there is good reason why open season here is only 3 days
