Go to Wal-Mart and get a new battery, they have the larger energizers for 99 bucks and 2 of those will run the funace for about 3 days at minus 11. I know because I have that exact trailer and live in it for 6 months of the year plus hunting season.

They installed a brand new deep cycle rv battery for me, plus i have a spare in the shop. Are you running both batteries at once!?

Very nice. We started off with a Mallard which is the twin of that one. Very tough trailer. My wife still finds fault with our new one because she misses the old Mallard so much.

I have replaced the 1 type 24 battery with 2 type 27 deep cycle, a 27 is almost 2 times the battery of a 24 and man are they heavy to lug around but they kick a$$ when it comes to drawing down. You will also find that solar panels in spring and fall are not very efficient and also depends on how much canopy is above the trailer. Mine didnt come with one but I have buddies that have them and that is what they report, I just plug in and run the diesel truck but am planning on a diesel generator this summer that way you can rough it and use the coffee maker and microwave. I have them both hooked up because they are "matched" batteries bought at the same time and the same size and they sit in garage in the winter and I top them up every month. Have fun with it I am at the point of buying a bigger one just because I spend so much time in it. The furnace will run every 15 to 20 minutes at minus 11-12 but you are warm and the lines dont freeze as long as the heat is on. Take the time to move the plumbing under the sink if you can because you can actually use the bottom of the cupboard I took too long to do it and looking back it was stupid. They are a nice light trailer I have pulled mine around alot and have 25,000 km on it in 4 years, still hauls great and has lots of clearance for getting into spots.
