I too was 66 when I brought home my now 2 1/2yr F/M black lab pup and was questioning my own sanity for a while, but wouldn't change it for a moment now. LOL

I think retirement and getting a new pup is a perfect combination. In fact, it was the very first thing on my retirement bucket list to accomplish. When you're retired you have lots of time to train a hunting dog! They keep you young!

13 months in, we see a possibility of a great dog, other times, it's crazy Daisy. When she gets excited, she loses control , it's let's play. She is a Black Lab, English, with papers . My wife has more than once said,"What were we thinking?" we're older than you. I don't know what we would do without her.

    Back. Good shift. Great Crew!

Can't say as I care much for the wait at Cameron Lake much though.
    2.5 hours to get across.
Traffic backed up from near Angel Rock to the Hump Eastbound - some of those folks will be waiting until 5:00pm!!

Unreal what has happened to Port, Ukee & Tofu over this BS!
We can all thank the NDP for their lack of directed action when that fire was first reported.
Instead they chose to spit at it, which as it turns out was actually spitting at US. Swines!

The dogs literally mugged the hell out of me.
    Ila is still doing so!
You'd think she believed I had abandoned them. LOL!

Yep, great to be back for a spell!

    Cheers,
    Nog

PS: Looking Forward to the pix Buddy!!

hmmm unfortunately our Pearl did not work out and is being returned on Monday....both Susan and I are devestated and in constant tears...she was 1 year old on the past 23rd.14 hours EACH AND EVERY day x 10 months for us her temperment far exceeded our 33 years experience and all our efforts and total love.

    devestated

I know what it takes to care for multiple puppies at a time. For the 1st month. Mom takes care of the puppies. We take care of mom. We also do the laundry and make sure puppies are safe and growing. At this moment, We have Maltese pups ready to go June 22. We have been breeding for many years. Puppies are in the Shuswap but we bring them to Cloverdale for vet check and shots.
