    Moose jump gone wrong

A few weeks ago a buddy found this cow hung up on his gate. Got a grinder and cut the top rail to release her. She laid down a few hours and eventually was able to get up. Leg was not broken.

Funny, same thing came to mind.

She needed some recovery time. We hunted the area this past week and noticed some ravens massing, so checked it out and thankfully she was not the focus of their attention. The top rail she needed to clear was 5’, I think he will leave the cut-off as is so future attempts will only need to clear 4’.

Did you ever see that photo of the Alaska bull moose that got his antlers tangled in a hydro line on the ground when it was about to be lifted up and when it was put under tension, he got hung high?

I think that’s the first moose-caught-in a fence rescue that I remember seeing.
Lots of deer but never a moose.
