Yes, your feelings are legit as to what can happen or rather what appears to be starting to happen.
Its not that Rob is trying to downplay your concerns, or even mine.
He is just letting us know "how the recent rules are" and why this is happening.

Is no surprise the FN are pushing the envelope, but it is very disappointing and concerning.
But, its going to be "our " government that is either going to "step in" and shut this BS down by the FN or keep playing dumb
or without care to "our" impact if they allow this to carry on.

Eventually, the word spreads, rural towns will get impacted by this sort of stuff.
Look at QC Lodge last summer when the FN shut them down.
The stuff that the FN are starting to do "IS" starting to impact rural towns in the interior and all along the coast!
As this continues on, and folks start to "not make a living", they will let the government know that "it isnt working"!
And eventually another party will see the "open door", and take up the charge to "correct it".

You can only be a whining, bitching, spoiled neighbor so long, until you piss off more than your neighbor,
and start pissing off the entire community!
One community at a time will start to want to see changes, and that is on the political scale.

My suggestion, don't support any FN campsites or recreation areas with your money that they may be owners of.
Don't spend a dime at any of their casinos or gas stations or any other FN owned business.

And i will go out on a limb to say, there are some businesses who do hire FN, to keep the peace.
Well, they better watch out too, as sooner or later "that wont be enough for them".
And i sure as hell wont spend a dime at an FN fishing lodge or for one of their shit salmon that has sat in the sun all day
and carried around in a plastic garbage bag!!

Hmmm....so much respect for their fish that it sits in a garbage bag!
    Thats says everything to me!
I know Rob is not making the rules, but pointing them out.
My beef is the government that either sit idly or side with FN.
Laws, rules can be changed or amended to include something that is pertinent
to the current situation and hopefully taking into account of the peoples wish.
However the likliness of changes that would protect non native rights is pretty slim.
To say it plain and simple is: they can't have all the land in BC!
The more people realize what's going on and the more they get pissed of, the better chance for a fair outcome.

bingo! Who do you think is funding this bullshit? US. Every damn idiot that supports them buying their illegal fish, or their tax free weed or their sketchy at best casinos.

didn’t the African Americans use this principal to prop up their own and change their lives up and out of the ghetto? They kept every dollar in their own community, only bought services from their people..

Is there any salmon fishing left available to non-indian people in BC now? Starting to look like we'll have to take our tourism money to Alaska instead if we want to catch salmon.
