Thanks--Sounds like it might be worth a pilgrimage to go to a Pro Shop and get set up correctly.

    Thanks again

Re: Advice on buying a first compound bow

Thanks for all the advice. I just recently picked up an new Bowtech carbon icon with the "RAC" package. Really impressed so far with the bow and I'm glad I didn't cheap out and buy a pure entry level setup.

Bow zone- your $1500 comment was almost spot on, once arrows, releases and a block target were added. Thanks
This is my first bow and I'm amazed that with relative ease I can hit the block at 60 yards and be grouping at 40. Looking forward to practing more.

I chose a 60# pound bow and for practice I'm glad I did because after an hour or so I can feel it. 70 pounds and I would have been straining after several shots.
Just hope I don't regret buying the lighter bow for hunting. ( will have to sight in for heavy arrows I assume to make up for the lighter limbs).
But for now I'm really enjoying shooting in the evenings.

Looking forward to experimenting with heavier arrows and broad heads soon.

Thanks again for all the help.
