Cool 100 Mile - Lac des Roches Area

Planning a late season hunt up in this area. I see in the regs there is a whitetail season up there but I wonder if it is worth buying a tag or are they rare around those parts?

They are there, but as was said, not overly abundant. How late are you going? Peak of the rut? They respond a lot more to calls and such than any mulie so they can be lured in. For the price of a tag, I would by one.

More than likely you will see them around Barriere and the North Thompson River valley bottom in the agricultural areas, not too many higher up.

They begin moving south and east out of there at that time.
