got out two days ago with my brother for a morning shoot, started with a few groups of widgeons and mallards decoying at first light, and had some nice shooting for about half an hour---then the skys went dead, not a bird to be seen for the next hour or so. Just as we were thinking of calling it a morning, the first flock of Canada's decided to visit For the next hour it was non stop, decoying geese, as small groups of 3-5 ducks were coming into the dekes like fighter pilots landing on aircraft carriers, knowing we wouldn't shoot them as we were well into goose mode by then Great morning, as we finished with 6 Canada's and 6 mallards by the time it was over, and we had probably two hundred or so geese in and out of the field in an hour or so, got a little crazy for a while, with so many flocks of 15-30 geese coming in we barely knew where to look, and they were being crossed by pods of mallards, looked like a ww2 air battle up there, lol
