Well my last post was suposed to be the wrap up till after Xmas......BUT Got off work a little early so decided I needed to destress before I faced the crowds for some last min. shopping. Called my partner and by the time I arrived on the marsh he had the deeks all set and 4 birds in the bag. Norm graciously sat out to have a coffee and gave me a chance to catch up. For the next 3 hrs they came in spotty but steady in 1s and 2s and by 11:30 we were picking up to head back to the task of finishing up the Xmas shopping. 2 mixed limits in the bag 10 Widgeon including a couple of nice drakes, 5 Mallards and a nice Pinny drake. We got to watch some super efforts from my little dog breaking ice again and that always makes the day in my eyes. So that is it for sure till after the big day but a fine way to wind down to the Christmas break for sure.
