Love it when it happens like that. My buddy and I jumped a bachelor herd as well (same day as you?) and I popped one in the cut block. The rest were too hard to see for a clean shot. Congrats!

I wouldn't say they are rutting yet. We got ours while still in a bachelor herd, their tarsals aren't dark and stinky and their necks aren't engorged yet. In 2 - 3 weeks, the bucks should start splitting up and seeking out does.Originally Posted by coglark
