Hey all you kootenays folks. Will I need a sled to get to access points for goat in region 4-23 zone b? Planning on going first week of November. Any wise words appreciated.

Late goats can mean icy conditions and very steep drop offs......That's why sheep hunters are gay.

Pretty sure you can't even use a sled for goats, Only use sled for pred hunting.
Good time to be there. I took a Billie on Oct 28th in zone A years ago and a couple from zone B. Be prepared for nasty weather. The rut will be coming on and you'll see the Big Boys just eye sight from the nannies. Good luck on your hunt, oh and we never used sleds.
Yep, no sleds for anything until dec allowed. There probably wouldn't be enough snow anyway, hiking poles maybe snowshoes or crampons would be useful. I've known people who have used a ice axe instead of poles.
Ok thanks guys. ill giver a good go!
did you make it out on this trip? if so how'd it go?
