I myself have been through this to many times . I feel for you and your family . Our pets only love us and in return they ask for our
love. A easy trade ! Through time the pain will go away . The memories in your mind and the love in your heart lasts forever.
    sorry for your loss .

Thank you all for your heartfelt comments and well wishes. This is a tough time for me and the family, and I can't even yet imagine how tough the first hunt without him is going to be.

I've been through that exact same circumstance, it hurts.

Very sorry to here that Jamie. It was a privilige to have the opportunity be able to hunt with Bill last season. Watching him make water retrieves on ducks, and field retrieve geese was a treat. An awesome bird dog, and I know he was a big part of your family.
