    A Sad Day

Yesterday I had to say good-by to my longest and best hunting partner as I had to sit and put my pup Bill to sleep. Unknown to us Bill had a form of spleen cancer that built up and burst yesterday afternoon. I got a call from my wife and was able to race home from work in time to spend the last hour or so with my buddy at the vet. Bill had a great life and lived right up to the end like nothing was wrong, he was in no pain and passed a happy and good boy in my arms. He will be missed very much by all who knew him. Here is a pic of the last hunt of last season and a happy pup with his brace of birds......

So sorry for the loss of Bill.

So sorry for your loss, every time I hear a story like this it brings a tear to my eye. Not looking forward to the loss of any of my buds, they are such loyal companions and their love is unconditional. May your best memories help you heal...
