I got one like that too, she is my greatest trophy, and has a fine rack too. Lol

Is that mature buck making a snort wheeze on that video? I turned it up pretty high and it sounds like it. That is pretty neat, I always enjoy the neat or unique things that trail cameras pick up.

As much as I love the Browning cams for their incredible detection and trigger speed ......their sound recording capability is below average.

A bit frustrating we cant see the top half of his antlers to know if he is a potential shooter.
Note his body mass and head compared to the juvenile bucks I have posted.

That is not as frustrating as the fact I have 3 other cams within several hundred meters and none of those picked him up.
    Stealthy buggers.......
    My guess....

    145-150", four year old deer.

Thanks for the videos. Fun to watch.

I've never thought of you as a selective hunter....

I can't throw a number on that buck as I can only see an inch or two of tine.
Some of the bucks we see have ridiculous tine length in this area.....some are weak.
Pure speculation as one his number could be.

    Four year old deer?
Agree to disagree on that one.

    Selective hunter...me?
    Haha
You almost walked away on me during our extensive elk hunt back in the day.
I do recall you became quite frustrated with me on several occasions for not pulling the trigger.
    Sorry, I wanted 400"+.
    We knew they were there.

It has literally gone off in one of my primary locations.
These scrapes and deer activity were not present 3 short days ago.
Hopefully something shows up that will get me invested in sitting in one of my blinds.

    Check this out.....

    CR&C talk....

I have plenty of experience with having to make a snap decision on a WT's size with only a quick partial view of the antlers.... error on the side of caution.
It's frustrating and fun to reflect on the number of times that I now think I should have made fire....

    Average Main beams, 21"
    Short brows, 3 1/2 -4"
    Average mass, 18/side
    Average IS, 18-19"

IF he has good but not exceptional tine length on the P2,3 and 4, say 9, 9 and six inches....

    Then that's a 150" deer.

Of course I could be wrong, make him "The Buck" and we'll see.

I don't think he would be any older than 5 at the most. Wide forehead and a long snout, still not getting that Roman nose short face look.
He sure has a big pot belly, full of treats someone was so kind as to deliver.

As to the 400" elk, I was never frustrated that you didn't shoot a couple of those bulls, more like baffled.
Those hunts were way too much fun to be brought down by the lack of blood, and they wouldn't have been nearly as memorable with an easy and fast kill.
    Good times....
