It's been a fun season so far. Buddies have come for a visit and went home with meat in the freezer.

I have been chasing a couple of bucks that have been playing cat and mouse with me so far. It has been tough because we have had zero snow, warm, warm weather and lots of wind!!! (in the last 2 weeks, we have had a couple days where it was below zero, the rest has been in the +temps, including today at +9)

Have had this guy show up, so I snapped a few pictures. He is the next year or two buck.





A couple more days for the two bucks to show for this season....and of course, starting on Monday, we get the weather we should have had a few weeks ago; -20 and snow. Just before the season closes and I have to go to work.

Wow that's a nice one to pass on, looks like he's got solid genes so in a year or 2 he should be a stud... any idea how old he is?

He is not a young buck.
No sway back yet, but he has the short heavy face of an older deer.
