Cold snowy weather for a couple days, the cold and clear for the weekend....plus the full moon. The "talking Heads" say the next week, Nov 4-12, is supposed to be prime time.....
Lots of scrapes and rubs showing up and lots of does around, should be a good month!!

What I have noticed this year is that the bucks have been hanging together a lot longer than normal, up to 4 days ago they were still tolerable of each other. The does are not liking the young bucks hanging around and are even pushing them around and due to the amount of fawns around seem bitchy!!

Will add more as the month progresses!!

Keep up the good work Ourea!!

    Cheers

The predator load in 2017 is like nothing seen before, been running cams since 2012.

Couple of juveniles lions running together

Bucks and does were showing fairly consistently until these began cruising through, both have slowed dramatically. Cams are 500 yds apart

Grandpa is back. This is the 6th year in a row of pictures of him. He's got to be in the 10 year old range.

Love to see him out there outwitting hunters of all kinds particularly in a cat infested area. It will be a sad year when he finally doesn't show up on cam.

Pretty sure I'll never kill him in this location. Have to get mobile and figure out where his daytime hiding place is. Bet it's thick and nasty.

Most likely, and I'll bet all his movements are nocturnal...

Antler-wise, I think he best year was in 2012 which makes me think he may actually be older? Who knows?

He's never been anything special in that department. Body-wise, I think he was in his prime in 2014.
