I Give my Heart to my Family....
My Mind to my Work.......
But My Soul Belongs to the Mountains.....
Yeah, my first. I guess I’m a late bloomer as I’ve only really spent more than a couple of days chasing deer for the past 3 seasons. I have carried my 7-08 bolt gun a few times but as a lifelong lever fan I really wanted to shoot my first deer “oldschool”. Although this Marlin (Remlin) is the “2020 .30-30”, it is still a great gun. It really loves the Barnes TSXs too.
If we’re not supposed to eat animals, how come they’re made out of meat?

That's happens from time to time, more then people think!!
At least you left it alone!!!
There was an asshat last season that took a small deer, and then must of seen a big buck some seconds later, and killed it
as well.
Left the little one to rot, and took very little from the big one as i guess he was worried he would get caught, so 2 dead animals
left to rot just for some bigger antlers.
Good on you!
And it certainly makes for a once in a lifetime "photo" that you got yourself there!
this is an outstanding picture !!!! Love it!Originally Posted by fuzzybiscuit;[URL="tel:2301920"

I actually jumped in the boat and pushed off from shore right after this pic was taken. I got a great video drifting right up within 50 feet of it. My partner got a good video of me drifting right down to the bull too.
Why couldn’t it have been 2 weeks earlier in bow season when I was up there…? Lol.
