    Re: PAL wait times

So I sent my application on March 11 and one of my references said that they were called last 3 weeks ago. When I called in on Monday, the CFP said that they were just waiting for my references. So I asked for a file number and had one of my reference call them ASAP. I told the lady that I talked to that one of my references has been called already. She said there was no note that my reference was called. It's so weird that they would say that because I remember my buddy calling me right after he was called. Did someone drop the ball on their office??

The good thing is, when i asked the lady if everything was in order, she said that as soon as they get ONE reference (i applied for restricted too), they are gonna send it in to wait for approval. How long would that wait time be? if anyone knows that would be great. I do plan on calling them once every week cuz for some reason, my application is not showing up online.

My dad just did his renewal online and it only took about a week and a half to get back.

I renewed mine on line a few weeks ago, and I got my PAL in the mail exactly two weeks later.

My dad did his renewal (electronically) - took 10 days

my younger brother has been waiting six months for his Pal - when we call some clown tells us it's on its way but never seems to make it into an envelope let alone the mail!

    Re: PAL wait times

They received both mine and my wife's PAL applications on January 6th, 2015. Processed the payments from our credit cards on January 18th, 2015. Wife got hers on February 12th and I'm still waiting for mine. Called in a couple of times and finally about 2 weeks ago, the lady in New Brunswick finally asked me if I wanted to be transferred to the BC CFO office - ha! They never offered me that option before. Anyway, lady at BC CFO put me on hold for about 5 minutes, then came back and said they were putting my application under review. Why the heck weren't they reviewing my application for the past 4 months? Just checked the mail and still no PAL. I did have a DUI in 1999 and was a bit of a juvenile delinquent in my teens (20 years ago), but never did anything violent to anyone ever. Feel like I'm getting the shaft!

    Re: PAL wait times

I've been calling them once every week now. They told me that my license is currently at BC CFO waiting for approval. Don't know how long it'll take for them to approve mine. I got no record of anything. Not even a parking ticket lol!

Anyone know if I could talk to BC CFO and maybe speed along the process or should I just sit and wait "patiently?"

They got my application on March 11 btw...
