Camouflage is great casual wear - hides stains and fades, makes you less approachable to panhandlers and protesters.

People kill animals without camo, but its pure luck.

Animals killed by camo wearers are killed because of the skill of the hunter.

it helps in certain situations but is it absolutely necessary no.
get off the road even if its only a couple hundred yards and go slow and SEE what your looking at before moving on .
if your hunting deer ,moose ,bear and comfortable shooting out to a couple hundred yards you will be fine without it as long as the wind is in your favor.
for archery you would probally want to use everything possible to get things in your favor.
a bad day hunting is awwwwwwww who cares as long as your hunting.

I don't think camo is essential........but with that being said I do wear it and believe it helps break up your outline, for years I have worn fleece camo,I picked up a set at an outdoor show Tacoma for $25,zip up hoodie and pants.

Its warm, its dries quick when wet and is very quiet and comfortable, the set is mismatched in color but who cares.......it's my hunting clothes. You don't have to break the bank if you want some practical camo.

Funny thing is I rarely see anyone hunting without camo.........weather in their truck or walking.

Exactly...even though deer moose etc are color blind, camo does break up the regular pattern of clothes, something that they can distinguish..and it looks awesome..
