Moose When To Go

I have the 7-25 thread going concerning our up coming LEH Shared Bull Hunt but I want to ask what the majority thinks about the dates I have to work with due to my hunting partners work
We have 2 choices .

I have called in and harvested 3 moose all around October 9 so…… I’m thinking #2 option but
what do you think ?

#1 September 28 to October 4

#2 October 12. to October 18

I would go sept 28th to oct 4th, but I would try to make my choice closer to see what the weather may be like.

Also full moon on the 29th, which will mean nothing with cloud cover but could be clear

I used to hunt 7-21 for the last week of September and the first week of October until the privileged few had MU 7 shut down. The last few years we found it to be too warm and we saw more action during the middle of October. My choice would be Oct 12 - 18.

Yup me too, I see more bulls on the move around Sept25- the first week of Oct, though that's in general for the Southern interior, I wouldn't know if that's also optimal time in that region as well.. either way, I wish you all the best..

Thanks Harry ! When I hunted near Bear Lake which is an hour north of P.G. did well around the October 9th date could call bulls right in .
