    It's sneak boat time!

So I decided it's time to try out the Hobie as a sneak boat.

It didn't work too bad. The Hobie runs on pedal power so I could lay back and keep a low profile.
Interesting shooting as the boat is moving one way and the ducks another but I managed to connect on a few.

And a close up of a skunkhead.

This was a no Bufflehead hunt by the way as I don't like eating the little beasties.

Some nice birds! And a bluebill for fun!
1st Im in charge, and if not Matt is. Your job is to sign checks, tell us we're doing good and open your case of scotch after a good day. 2nd my fee. You can keep it, all I want in exchange for my service is the right to hunt all the drakes. A male. Buck only. Why and how are my business. If you don't like it, go alone. Set up right here or in a swamp or in the middle of a noshoot field for all I care. I've been on too many duck hunts with rich dentists to listen to any more suicidal ideas. Ok?

Well look at it this way Kyle you'll get a lot of satisfaction when you finally kill a scoter over those decoys.

So I just finished a dinner of slow roasted goldeneye stuffed with apples and floated on a bed of onions and cranberry juice and I understand why we are only allowed two a day.
Otherwise I think I would kill them all. Man I love a nice corn fed mallard but that was dining at a whole different level.

Jr.; Pretty simple. Stuffed it with apple chunks, slathered on butter and seasoning (some Cabela's stuff which did little other than flavor the skin, which John loves and I do not ) 1/2 a can of cranberry cocktail, and a glug of white wine. 250F for 3 hours covered, remove lid & ramp up heat to 425 for 20 minutes to crisp up the skin.
