Isn't this the ram that is bronzed in Salmo?Kinda in the same topic.does any one remember the monster that was poached by a guy at the feeding station around Salmo about 10 years ago?A semi native guy shot it with crossbow in mid-winter and tried to say it was for "cerimonial purposes"It supposedly would have blasted the existing world record out of the water.It was hanging at Ft.Steele but I haven`t seen it .Any info or pics from you guys?I would love to see it with my own eyes.

Yep. That's the Salmo Ram. I believe it went around 200" or so.

hope they catch this guy and make a real example of him, like others said all poaching sucks but when its a sheep they need to make the penalty severe. There's alot of people who want horns on their wall at all cost. when that causes incedents like this that cost better be jailtime and fines

I have a hard time believing that with how hard we have worked to improve our sheep numbers that Idiots like this could exist. A sheep hunt is a right of passage for most hunters, With lots of hard work usually involved in the harvest of your ram. If caught I think just taking away firearm and hunting privelages isn't enough. Let the rest of us who work hard, ethically and legally punish them. The herd we have south of Quesnel has some good rams in it and If I'm not correct a few of them have been poached also.
It'd look better on "my" wall!!

Thats a shame it really bugs me that there are people out there that do this crap. I am not a sheep hunter but even I can see its a nice ram wasted by a bunch of dickhead poachers.

The 200 class? I would guess a million +.
