Well, the hunt with OldNGrey didn't go according to plan. We got the moose out of the way early, but never did connect on his R3 mule doe. Oh well, there's always next year..

We did manage to spot a pair of these: Very cool to say the least.

After watching the owl for a few minutes, it decided to dive face first into the snow in search of a mouse or something. Neat to watch.. Although he didn't seem to be successful on this attempt.

Spent a little time in the blind with my stepson today. We're still trying to get him his first deer (took his CORE in September). Nothing quite like passing the time playing first person shooter games on your ipad with a rifle on your lap..



We didn't see anything, but at one point I thought I heard a deer behind the blind. Sure enough, when we left, there were buck tracks in our tracks, 25 yards behind the blind (and completely out of our sight). Soon he'll connect..

Man, I guy goes to work for a couple of weeks and you start shooting the place up . Congrats . It is nice to see you succeed. With all the home work you have done this year its all coming together .

FYI, checked the cam that's in front of the blind you were sitting in.....decent 5x5 on it from last night and this morning.
