Anyone here shot close to all of them in BC? Ruddy duck, and red breasted merganser... where does one typically find them?
Lorne we were in a marsh last season or two ago. Like last week of the season and we had two teal come through. We didn't shoot. They spun around and came iback through. And as they were leaving we all realized they were bwt mature birds. And then we had a Cinny in our duck pond a week before opener. And Matt's shot one 5/6 years ago. Or so he says hahaha. So they're possible. I'd say chances of them much better then the Mexican ducks hahaha
but I agree, not likely but the two teal are doable. I think if you spent 108 days of the season in all the right areas. Island. Fraser valley. Potholes of the interior. You could do a good chunk.

1st Im in charge, and if not Matt is. Your job is to sign checks, tell us we're doing good and open your case of scotch after a good day. 2nd my fee. You can keep it, all I want in exchange for my service is the right to hunt all the drakes. A male. Buck only. Why and how are my business. If you don't like it, go alone. Set up right here or in a swamp or in the middle of a noshoot field for all I care. I've been on too many duck hunts with rich dentists to listen to any more suicidal ideas. Ok?
So....
Whos in for a contest for the 2013 duck season? I think it would be super fun and would involve guys getting together at certain times to get their ducks as the guys on the island would have to travel to the mainland to get some and vise versa. Sticky a thread and everytime you shoot a different kind, post it up with the list and the duck you are crossing off. Pics or it didnt happen.
Lorne
I often have wood ducks right behind my house. But I'd be blasting within 100 yds. of my neighbour's houses! That should go over really well. Actually, most of them know me and wouldn't care. I've got great neighbours. I sometimes walk right out my back door to go deer and yote hunting above the subdivision. Permission on private land is great!!!!

Slamming the boat is as follows....
A full limit, drakes only, each being a different species...
I've done it back east with a 6 bird limit, 8 here makes it hard, and usually it's divers and seaducks
