seems the way in Squamish, many spend hours searching and the deer are like ghosts then some days you just round a corner and they wait all day for you, i had the same experience. (minus the ear plugs)
Off to buy foam ear plugs as that must be the secret hunting trick we are all missing.

Awesome old post revival! I can't believe he went back to the truck, rolled the little plugs in his fingertips one by one and inserted, waiting for full seal on possibly the blacktail of a lifetime!!! Awesome!! Hunting is so easy!!

i would have taken the ear damage for that buck lol. Glad he stuck around for you. Not many of those up in squam hills.
maybe Proguide66 work did some real damage to the wolf packs up there!
