Had a great time with my daughter on Sunday! She only picked up a bow the day before and is hooked on archery.

Stinking hot(african hot!). Dranks lots of water but still could hardly muster up a squirt after drinking at least 5L afterwards.

Painfully slow at times but still tonnes of fun!

    Caught her arrow in mid-flight

At first I thought these were from unethical x-bow hunters...but these weren't bolts(haha!)

It was a cool shoot for sure. Couldn't believe how many of the african animals had real horns!! Definitely worth the trip.

One of the things that really speeds up a course is the NO Binoculars rule. Take your shot, score your arrow, move on.

But then I'm not a dedicated target shooter looking for ranking.

Ya i agree 100% some of the targets i had to skip and come back to, do to people staring at the target with there binos for 3-5 min no joke. Its like the could not estimate the distance when they were waiting in line... At the MOST you should take no more than 10-20 seconds to take a shot IMO.

    A few more.

My Little girls only made it around the first 18 targets. Way too hot for them and the wife. I sure hope they get into it like so many other young girls I saw out there shooting. It was great out there. I had a ton of fun and shot a lot better then I thought I would. That was my first 3D this year. Hard to get away with two little ones right now.

I am one of those guys that took a while to get set. I am terrible at judging yardage so I take my time. I am not sure what the rush was not matter what we were waiting on the next target. Its not like looking through your binos slows things down. My hunting bow has a Leupold Vendetta on it to take away any guessing.

If you are not competing for a score just shoot and move on. Some of us would like to compete and know what they are aiming at. I don't think there is anything wrong with either.
