Wigwam merino light hikers, though they're not as good as they used to be.

The costco socks last a couple days at most. Junk.

I'm afraid to say... so are the thorlos. Worse, they change the fit of your boots.

One pair of socks and boots that perform and fit is best. I used to work at MEC in the boot deartment when I was a youngster. I still have some wigwam light hikers from back then.

Man, my COSTCO merino 12 pairs of socks (three each of the four packs) are going on 4 or 5 years old and going strong with everyday wear! They are the best deal in socks I ever bought for all around comfort and value. Washed hot and dried in the dryer too. Obviously YMMV but my experience is 180* off from ChronoShooters (but I did shoot a wire off my Chrony once!).

I have three pairs of the Wigwam. They are great.
My costcos I save for work. The wool stretches and blows out on the costcos vs the Wigwams that retain their shape.

You must have gotten a bad batch as my Costco socks are like the day they came home. Take them back for another pack, the warranty is gold Jerry, gold.

I love the Costco socks, but they don't hold up in the long run. I wear mine pretty much every day Fall --> Spring (office job) and usually have to replace several of them by the next year...wear through at the heel, primarily. Otherwise, they're stellar.

Wash and dry your wool socks hot to get them to hold their shape. Might shrink some brands too much but works for me on the Costco merino

I'm the same, love the Costco Merino sox but burned through several pair in the month of November last year hunting Mule Deer....but they are cheap enough that you can just toss em after theyre done !
