I have one I bought from surplus herbies that I have taken on several trips has pole frame and roof tarp hangs over the walls I take a peice of old furnace ducting for a stove ring tie wrap it to one of the legs and have a good sized wood stove warm and dry. After using this setup a couple times I think it works great wouldn't trade it for nothing.

Get some flexible 1 1/4 inch PVC pipe (2 x 10 to 12 foot lengths with one female flared end (as many as needed depending on the size of the tarp); ground rods or rebar, cut into 2 foot sections, (1 foot may do). Then pound the rebar half way into the ground in a line spaced the same as the grommets on your tarp. Pound another line of rebar about 10 - 12 feet parallel to the first line. Now put 2 pieces of PVC pipe together and put one end over the rebar, bend the pipe and put the other end over the opposite rebar. Repeat until you have placed all the "ribs" over the rebar. Now stretch your tarp over the ribs and tie them down with pegs. Fasten the tarp to the end ribs with tie wraps or any way you can think of. We use short sections of larger PVC pipe with a strip cut out of it. and push it over the tarp and end rib. Kinds hard to describe but... it works. Found the design on a website about how to build a greenhouse. Works for a hunting shelter, also have one built to store my horse manure over the winter. Keeps the snow off. Pick your size of tarp and adapt the ribs to fit it. See the picture and it might all come clear. Damn, I can't figure out how to insert my photo. I'll put it in the gallery. Oh well, this website has some similar ideas. Check out any of the arched designs. http://www.pvcplans.com/pvc-pipe.htm

These pictures show us setting up our 20' X 20' tarp tent. The frame is 1" steel tubing. The main tarp(green) is 20 X 30 and runs from the ground on the left side to about 1/2 way down the right side. The right wall is connected with dome fasteners to the top of the wall. Walls ar 6' tall(5' pipe with slip-in extensions. I can't recall where my cousin bought the fittings but they were about $3.50 ea.

The end tarps haven't been modified to fit - except for he door and that nice chimney hole.

I have one similar-but this year modified it by adding a plywood end, attached to the pipe frame by drilling holes through the plywood and using those plastic lock straps. The plywood end containes the door, plexiglass windows, and a tin plate for the stove pipe to go through. Because the tarp shelter is light and therefore suceptable to wind-we cut two 6'' logs to lay alongside the sides and simply attached the tarp to them with the ball bungy cords.Anyway, it offers a large 10x20 area, warm and dry, heated by a hippy killer.I think the whole setup including stove and pipe cost about $300.Goes up in about 20 minutes including setting up the stove
One easy way of attaching the tarp to the pipe frame is to cut lengths of 2'' pvc , cut out 1/4 of the pipe, which then slips over the frame locking the tarp to it

We made one once from tarp then pooled the money and bought a wall tent. We use electrical conduit for our frame, works well as most of our group are electricians
